Claire Shaffer, Loreto’s founder, has an extensive background in geriatric nursing, dementia care, and palliative/end-of-life care. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Preventive Medicine at The University of Southern California and subsequently, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Mount Saint Mary’s University. She worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of settings prior to obtaining her Master’s degree in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach.

As a Nurse Practitioner, she served the Orange County community as a field Provider, bringing geriatric primary care to home-bound seniors. Her knowledge and experience are extensive, but her compassionate and gentle bedside manner are paramount to her success. She is an effective communicator and a fierce patient advocate fueled by her passion to reduce stress and improve the quality of life for her patients and their families. Claire is honored to serve you and your loved one.
